This was probably the most disappointing part for me. I just knew they’d offer more storage...I guess there’s always next year

I got a FaceTime call from my sister’s husband and his brother.
Asking me to defend the iPhone 8 since it looks so much on the iPhone 7.
I told him to wait for the iPhone X to be announced and during that conversation I missed a lot of the announcement of the iPhone X

Only thing that would worry me is, what kind of price Apple would be asking for it lol. I mean, the 256GB model is already really expensive. You can pick up a MacBook Air 13" for $999 and you getting a lot more computer for a cheaper price. If they had a 512GB model for say $1,249 then that would be the same price as a Macbook Pro (non touch bar). Thats just crazy then.

My wallet immediately stopped sweating upon revelation of no 512 GB.
Me too. I immediately decided I wasn't getting a phone this year. No 512 and no gold or rose gold or copper on the X REALLY was a gut punch.
Then I decided to get the 8 Plus in gold.
Then sometime during the night I decided the space gray wasn't so bad so I'd get the X even with that hideous notch and no 512 and no gold choices.
Then I decided to wait and not get anything because I'm afraid they'll announce more colours later.
Now I'm back to the 8 Plus in gold.
This was not an OHMYGAWD launch for me.

64GB and 256GB is dumb.

I decision to go with only 64GB and 256GB variants is a pure margin play. By creating such a large gap in capacity, Apple knows that many will chose to go with the larger capacity variant and pay hundreds of dollars more for something that on the BOM likely costs less than $10. At the same time, the BOM cost difference between 256GB and 512GB is probably a larger spread than 64GB to 256GB, hence the cap at 256GB. Long story short, they’re playing us for our money by creating an illusion of choice when in reality we have none.

who really needs that much storage, I have the 256GB 7 plus and I can't get no where near half the memory used. I have over 7k pictures and 300 videos along with what seems like millions of songs so I use some memory I just don't see why folks are upset that we didn't get double 256 vs dealing with either 64 or 256 which I will get the higher regardless.
