Although it's nice to see a 128 GB model of the iPhone 6 Plus, I'm not sure I like the fact that Apple opted to keep the 16 gig model as their base instead of bumping it up to 32 gigs. What about you? What are your thoughts about it?

Yeah they should've discontinued the 16gig version and kept the 32GB.

Completely agree. I'll be getting the 64GB because there's no way in the world I'm getting the 16 and I have no need for 128.

As was mentioned in the 6 forum...

The 64GB is priced at last year's 32GB price. No reason to be disappointed when you think about it. Think of it as a free upgrade. :)

How can you possibly be disappointed? Pay this year what you paid last year for the 32GB version and get another 32GB for free. 64GB for the price of 32. Winner, winner, chicken dinner.

I remember predicting this way way back. Basically how important the 16gb was to Apple as an entry level starting point. The goal is to get you to go beyond the entry point and spend extra. I thought at the time dropping the 32gb made the most sense.

I agree. I think if Apple made the 32gb the new entry level phone, it wouldn't be incentive enough for many people to upgrade to 64 or 128gb.
For people that need more than 16gb, they'll obviously upgrade, but for people who are unsure, they may just say, hey for $100 more I can get 64gb & just spend the extra money.

This. In this day and age, I am having a hard time paying $649 (or $749!) off contract for any phone with 16GB of space. Plus, on my iPhone 5, I was pushing my 16GB limit on occasion (and my wife maxed hers out on our Alaska trip - talk about bad timing), so my wife and I both decided we would have to step storage up for our next phones.

So if I cant deal with 16GB: do I pay for two iPhone 6s (64GB) for $749 each ($1,500 total!); two iPhone 6 Plus (64GB) for $849(!) each ($1,700 total!!) or do I buy something different such as the new Moto X ($499 each - $1,000 for the two). At this price, in all seriousness, its hard to justify the iPhones. :-/

I agree. I think if Apple made the 32gb the new entry level phone, it wouldn't be incentive enough for many people to upgrade to 64 or 128gb.
For people that need more than 16gb, they'll obviously upgrade....

Or buy a different phone. For those of us that need storage, it just means we are comparing the $299 ($749) or $399 ($849) prices to other phones that offer 32Gb and/or expandable storage.

I'm not disappointed because 32GB would never work for me, but it does suck. I was going to say it's completely illogical, but it's not, not from Apple's stand-point. They aligned it this way so more people would opt to pay more for the jump to the 64GB. That being said, I'm going for 128GB.

On a side note, I'd love to pop my 128GB Micro SD card into the iPhone that's currently in my Galaxy S5, which I got on sale for a mere $119, but we all know that's not how Apple operates. They truly make you pay to play.

Nope. I have a 32gb now and was going up upgrade if they kept that size or not!

That's a big jump though. A little 16g to 64gb. I would have thought they would have started at 32gb & not have the 16gb

Hey you disappointed 32GB'ers...

This year's 64GB phone price = Last year's 32GB price

The extra screen real estate has a premium.... but the 32/64GB storage price is a bargain.

Not really. I'm not even using half of my 32gb thus far. I was planning on downgrading to the 16gb but after seeing that the 22 is gone, I might just grab the 64gb for kicks and giggles.
