News app in Canada

Hey Rene.

Any ideas why Apple won't release the news app in Canada?

I know the work around for getting the app but I'm a proud Canadian

Its all about content. If content providers won't work with Apple then the news app is useless ??????

I keep hearing it's soon but so far, nothing. Sometimes it's partnership deals too, both with pubs and with services/ad providers. Sometimes it's complex local laws.

Agreed I just didn't even know if apple was working towards it. I just get a tease of it in my notification centre / lock screen
