Hello I am new to the whole jailbreaking thing. I currently have an 8GB 3G jailbroken running firmware 3.1. I really want to make it have 3.1.2 but still be jailbroken. I am currently downloading the 3.1.2 firmware onto my mac and have pwnage tool 3.1 on it that i used to jailbreak. what all do i need to do now to have my phone jailbroken on 3.1.2 instead of 3.1? Thanks for helping a new guy!

i got it all figured out thanks a lot!! now just got to sync all my stuff. only annoyance really seems to be the fact you have to redownload all the apps you had from cydia and the fact i have to re add every single contact cause i read you shouldnt use a backup?

Contacts will sync over from a normal sync assuming you sync'd your contacts with something like Outlook.

All jailbroken apps need to be reinstalled, but you can use an app just as AptBackup to assist you in such a task.
