I just want to start off by saying that I am in no way affiliated with New Trent. I have purchased several products from them and have been extremely happy which is what leads me to submit these reviews.
The NT120T was the first product I purchased from New Trent. It is another one of their 12,000 mAh battery. As I stated in a previous review, I am a college student. I spend a lot of time away from my room. I'm either in class, in the library or in the cafe. I always bring my iPad mini to class with me as it is so light and portable but there have been countless times where I have found my self running low on battery. I take a lot of notes with my iPad and I have also written papers as well. I can never seem to find an outlet to use as the lighting cable is very short and I would have to sit on the floor to use it. This is where the NT 120T comes into play.
The device itself weighs about the same as the mini coming in at .625 pounds. It is almost 5 inches long 3.2 inches wide and .9 inches high. It is extremely portable but you probably won't be able to fit it into your pockets unless your pants have very loose pockets.
Inside the packaging you will find the battery itself, and a coiled cable which you can attach two different tips to. One tip is for micro USB device and one is for mini USB devices. You will also find the normal paper work you'd expect.
The features and price are what made me buy the device. The device packs a HUGE 12,000 mAh. It can charge the iPad 3/4 to about 80%, the iPad 2 fully with some juice left over and the iPhone between 6 and 7 times. It can charge practically any device that charges with a USB cable. The device has a nice clean look to it. It has a black plastic housing with a silver band around it. and features a single silver button on the top. This button turns the device on and also allows you to check the battery. The battery is indicated by 4 green bars. When you press the device without anything plugged in it will only read you how much battery is left. When you plug in your devices all you need to do is press the button once and it will start charging. To turn off the device all you need to do is unplug all your cables and the device will automatically turn off in 15 seconds. The front of the device features two USB ports. One charges at 1A and the other at 2.1A. They are labeled 1A for smartphones and 2.1A for iPhone/iPad. You can charge your phone with either one and I found in my testing that you can charge your iPad with the 1A as well. In the middle of the front you will find a micro USB port which is used for charging the battery. It does not have pass through technology so you can only charge the battery but not your phone/tablet/other devices while the battery is charging. The included cable is very very very short so I just use any generic micro USB cable. It also does not have a charging brick. But I just use my Apple wall adapter.
As far as pricing goes, I picked one up for 76.95 but they have since dropped down the price to 59.95. Again, the Mophie Juice Pack Powerstation costs 79.95 and is only 4,000mAh and the Pro version is 99.95 and is only 6,000mAh. You really get your bang for your buck with New Trent. They also offer several other types of batteries at different capacities ranging from 5,200mAh to 9,900mAh.
