New to MacBook Air Question

Hi everyone! I got my first ever Apple computer, a MacBook Air M1 with 16GB and have a question about the keyboard backlighting. When I first open my laptop and begin to login the keyboard backlight doesn't come on until after I've logged in.

Is there a way to have the backlight come on as I am logging onto the computer so I can see the keys as I type my password?

Hopefully, someone who has the same MacBook Air M1 as you can reply soon. I have an older model MacBook Air that I use for work and the backlight is on from the time I power on the computer.
