Hey there!! Welcome to the  side!

What  watch did you end up going with?!

I have had an  watch since the first one 4 years ago and I can’t see myself switching to Android as there is no equal competitor or one that can even come close on the android side for smartwatches.

My first ever smart phone was an android phone. I had the Samsung S2, then the S4. My S4 had charger port issues so I got a 5C. Then I got a 6+ and a S7e. Since then I’ve only had iOS phones- 8+, Xs Max and 11 pro but my tablet is a tab S4. I like different things about android and iOS but for my phone I prefer iOS. The two things I love about iOS more than android is speedy updates (my Samsung galaxy you had to wait for an update to be released for your specific device) and the Apple care which is truly out of this world. I hope you enjoy your new phone and welcome to the forum

I use both devices so you won't have any issues transferring your important data as all the Google Apps can be found on iOS. You can continue to use Google Photos for all your Photo and Video backups and when you sync your gmail account in the iPhone settings your contacts can sync over and you can also set your gmail account as your primary contacts sync so any new contacts will still sync to your gmail account. Same goes for Calendar too. You can either use the native Email app to manage your emails or just use the Gmail app. I personally use the Gmail app because it handles Gmail calendar invites seamlessly.

Soooo did the phone and watch arrive today???

They did actually! Replying back on the iPhone11 right now. So far I have been enjoying the experience even though a few of my Android apps work a little differently on iOS and I have to get used to Siri instead of google haha. Thank you for asking :)

Thank you! So far it’s been smooth sailing
Updated both without any issues. Only thing I’m trying to figure out is I don’t really get push notifications for my email. I use google and outlook so I’m having to click on mailbox for it to update letting me know I have new mail.

So you have to go into the gmail app, then settings, then click on your email name, then notifications, set to primary or all mail. Mine is set to primary bc I don’t want the promotions emails going off every few minutes lol
