Heads Up:

Although the article states it applies to mid 2012 MBA, when I downloaded it from the web site, it states that my laptop doesn't support it.

Oddly when I hit the update from from MBA update drop down menu, it appears but doesn't update.
Now it now longer appears

I applied this update to a 2010 Macbook Air and now the laptop won't even power on. Taking it to Apple. Will report back what they say. Very strange because I upgraded to Mavericks first with no issues, then I proceeded with the firmware updates for the battery stuff.
