On my iPad Air II, from time to time I receive new emails. But, they don't show on my iPad Air II until I open the mail app (Outlook.com email). It's almost as of the Mail app has to refresh to obtain the email (running the current official iOS).
The question is, why is that? I typically see the new email notification on my iPhone 6 Plus. And with that, I'd expect to see the badge icon (I have notifications off, except for the badge, on the iPad) on the Mail icon on the iPad, but I don't.
