New computer question

I'm giving my Fiance my HP computer b/c I bought a Macbook Pro recently (very happy with it). She has her iPhone synced to her current PC. Should I be able to take her most up-to-date backup, stick it on an ex HD and put it on the new PC i'm giving her and sync it without losing anything?

I will be moving all her music, pictures, ringtones, etc from old to new PC before syncing for 1st time on new PC. And i know i have to authorize it also.
