New Apple TV?

According to appleinsider.com they are working on a new "set to box". According to some people it will have a A6 chip & run ios apps without airplay. If that ture will apple flip the switch allowing it on the 3 or will we have to buy the new one?

Perhaps this new Apple TV talk is simply updated packaging and the new OS. Perhaps iTunes Radio is significant enough to warrant that.

There's been no credible talk of opening up the AppleTV to AppStore like apps anytime soon... in the future - maybe... but there is not even an SDK for the AppleTV yet for developers to use to build A-TV apps with....
