Need help! Anyone ever experienced this when gifting from the store?

hey everyone,

quick question in the hope that there's some kind of magical fix for this.
I wanted to gift my girlfriend a tv show, paid for it, successfully sent the voucher to her, she opens it and when she hits redeem in the top right corner this pops up



anyone seen this before? I'm a little annoyed with Apple for it, there's so many glitches at the moment, it's bugging me. I guess I'll have to ask Apple for a refund but that's not really what I care for - just want her to be able to redeem the voucher. What could possibly be the issue/fix? any help is appreciated

With all of the weather-related issues going on, it's possible that access to some of their servers could have been affected. The prompt did state that "code redemption is temporarily unavailable". Give it time to clear itself.
