Need advice about camera app

So I have had many opportunities to take awesome pictures of for example a caterpillar on a branch of a weed. Problem is that stock camera app won't focus into it. No matter how I try to tap on it or change the distance /angle.
On my old Lumia 1020 there was a slider to manually focus. Is there a 3dt party camera app which could allow me to do the same?

Mm thanks for replies but I'm looking for manual focus option. So I can choose do I want the camera to focus on object in front or in the back.

As far as manual focusing goes I have had fairly decent luck with Manual. It allows you to control all sorts of aspects of the camera including focus. Macro shots without an extra lens still may be tricky though. Here's to some awesome shots in your future!

Thanks I think I'll give manual a shot. Tried before the camera+ and didn't feel right one

Manual has a lot of refined controls. I think that should work for you.
