No life in it even when it is on the magnet charger

Make a Genius Bar appointment with the nearest Apple Store to have them diagnose the problem.

Definitely have to 3rd taking it in to Apple. One of the biggest bonuses of being on this platform...the ability to take it to a store run by the company that manufactures the product!

There's no way to fix it, and I highly recommend you don't try to open it up yourself. Contact Apple and let them deal with it - hopefully its still in warranty.
