My saved photos do not show up on Camera Roll. Where are they being saved now?

Used to work. All of a sudden, Facebook photos that I save are NOT going to the camera roll. I don't know WHERE they are being saved now. I usually crop/alter the photo before saving to the iCloud. But cannot find the photos now!

I DO NOT know. I can only ASSUME they are being saved somewhere on Facebook's servers.

I might be wrong and please correct me if I am wrong - I thought and assumed the ONLY photos saved to your camera roll are what you shoot with your device be it phone or iPad etc? What exactly do you mean when you say your facebook photos you save? Am I missing something?
