My iPod crashed and now the screen is displaying improperly. Should I reset my iPod?

iMore Question

I have a fifth generation iPod which normally works in good condition. It froze and I turned it off. When I tried to turn it back on, I found that the upper half of the screen shows the Notification Centre half dragged down, and I'm still able to scroll up and down to see the notifications. The bottom half of the screen is stuck on the lock screen, and I can't interact with it, even though notifications still appear on it. However, the "slide to unlock" animation is still working. The iPod is running the latest version of the iOS 9 public beta. Is there anything I can do to fix it, or is a reset needed?

Re: Upper half of screen is stuck on Notification Centre, lower half is stuck?

I recommend you reset the device.
