My iPhone X does not ring for normal calls when i am on WhatsApp call

What happens when you're on a WhatsApp call? Does the call go straight to voicemail or does it ring but there is no notification sound?

were you able to fix this issue? it is happening to me now with my iPhone xr. I called apple support they said they couldn't help. never heard of the issue and they're blaming WhatsApp while on my iPhone 5 and 6s, it's working perfectly.

Tried duplicating the issue. You are right, it doesn't ring but also it is not going to voicemail either. It starts ringing if the normal call is still active and I disconnect the WhatsApp call, or vice versa.

To my surprise, I just tried entire thing on my Android device. Started a whatsapp call and then asked a friend to make a normal call on my number. It rang !!! Maybe just with iPhone.
