My iPhone wont register my number so it wont let me send iMessage without using my email.

I turned of my data and it wouldnt let me send an iMessage. When i went to look at the send and receive it wouldn't let me click my phone number. There is just a loading bar right beside it. I've reset my phone and even reset all settings and still nothing. What do I do..

Welcome to iMore! Just to be clear, you've turned off cellular data to your phone? This is required to use iMessage from your phone number so you'll have to turn cellular data back on. Your other option is to use your email address to send and receive messages via wifi.
