My Iphone 6S won't accept my password after a restart. What do I do?

I am positive I am using the right password. My fingerprint won't work either. I can't get into my phone. What do I do?

do an itunes restore? I had to do https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201252 when my iPhone 6 had water damage.

You'll probably have to restore it through iTunes. You'll need your Apple ID information.
