My iphone 5 can't connect to wifi even after entering the right password.

My iphone 5 can't connect to wifi even after entering the right password. I called support and downloaded all my information to ITunes as suggested to clean the phone. That did not work so I was asked to go to the apple store to speak to a tech. Which I did and that ready did not help but provided more confusion and distress. What would you advise? It seems this is an on going problem! I'm not the only one with this issue.

Do the following:

1. Create an iTunes and/or an iCloud backup.
2. Unplug and then plug in your Wireless router.
3. On your iPhone, go to Settings→ General→ Reset, and then select "Reset Network Settings".
4. Go to Settings→ Wi-Fi, and then locate and connect to your Wi-Fi network. You will have to input the passcode, if applicable.

That should fix the problem for you.
