My Iphone 4s wont charge and is getting Hot!!!!

My Iphone 4s wont charge and is getting Hot!!!! It wasn't holding its charge and it was getting extremely hot so I had a new battery put in but its still the same it does not turn on or hold its charge and gets really hot!!! Can you help!!!!!!
