Welcome to iMore? Make sure you have your number in the phone app. Make sure date and time are correct in Settings. Make sure you have a working network. Wifi.
Toggle iMessage on and wait for activation. Or toggle it off, then back on.
If it's not working, sign out of iMessage, then sign back in. To sign out, go to Send and Receive and tap your Apple ID email address.
