my icloud was written over when tech setup new phone can i get it back?

I bought a new iphone 6s and wanted everything from my iphone 5s put on it from my icloud backup however it was written over. Is there anyway to retrieve my old backup from my icloud?

Even if you didn't buy apple care, you get one free call to support during the first 90 days.
Someone told me apple also gives free apple care calls During Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Welcome to iMore! If the tech erased your old iCloud backups then you're out of luck. When you go to Settings > General > Storage & iCloud usage > Manage Storage (the second one, listed under "iCloud"), do you not see your old device? If you still see it you should be able to reset all contents and settings and restore from the old backup.

The only way I can think of it being written over is if a backup was initiated with the new phone after it was setup. Otherwise the info given by the esteemed @DevilishBanker should help you locate it.

Here's what mine looks like, you can see I have several devices/backups to choose from.
