ICloud backup causing problems on family devices

I have an ICloud account, and pay the monthly fee for the ICloud back up. I use it for my Ipad (Gen. 4). Recently my wife and I both got Iphone 6s. I set the phones to back up to the ICloud. Now My wifes calls show up on my Iphone and mine show up on hers. It is irritating. Should I set up a separate ICloud/Itunes account for her (she also has a Macbook Pro). If so please explain how to accomplish this.

Re: ICloud backup causing problems on family devices

It is recommended that you and your wife have separate Apple ID's for iCloud and share an Apple ID for iTunes & App Store purchases. By doing this, you will maintain a bit of privacy in regard to email, messages, etcetera while being able to purchase apps, music, etc once to use on both devices.

Thanks. I assume I just go to Itunes to set her up an account on the ICloud.

It can be done right on the iPhone. Just go to Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calendars - Add Account - iCloud - Create New Apple ID.

Not iTunes. iCloud. She keeps the same iTunes ID as you. But her iCloud, iMessage and Facetime should be different from yours. This way you can share the same apps, music, etc. And in iCloud, you can each have your own iCloud storage.
