If I tap on the app It opens with a white screen and nothing else. It will not open from settings either.

Welcome to iMore! If you haven't already, try soft resetting the device. To perform a soft reset, hold both the power button and home button down until you see the Apple boot logo. If that doesn't work you could always reset/restore your phone. I recommend setting it up as a new device as it provides the cleanest installation but you may be able to get away with restoring from a previous iCloud or iTunes backup.
