Ok this may be vain but I have over a 1000 videos and pics in my phone and once or twice a day I open the stock photo app , and scroll from top to bottom back and forth and say to myself "ahhhhhhhhhhhh smoothness " lolbvs ...I get off seeing the iPhone scroll through all those pics and videos without a hiccup or having to wait until my screen redraws ...onboard storage ftw....ok good day 🙈🙈🙈🙈🙈

Excellent, and I'm glad you're enjoying the smoothness of iOS on your iPhone...

LOL Holy hell that is funny. I do, however, feel the same way. I sometimes scroll through a ton of pictures and videos in that app just to see it so smooth as well. Not kidding.

Smooth scrolling is exactly the metric I use to assess a computer's performance. It gets to a point that all computers are competent at some basic tasks. And if it some quad-core can render a video faster than a previous computer, if it doesn't scroll smoothly, I'm really annoyed.

And that happens a lot. I'll open iTunes to Album view and scroll— I'm always surprised at the scrolling. Fast or slow, there's a slight jerkiness that just shouldn't be there. Using my friend's 6s, it's night and day to just about any computer I've ever used. I need to try this with an iPhone 7.

It's a pretty cool feeling all that info at the tips of your fingers. This is why I stick with iOS and the iPhone. Smooth experience /Most/ of the time.

Hmm. My Moto G4 can also scroll through 1000s of pictures smoothly. It would be pretty amazing if a phone costing 4 times as much could not. I think you need to be more demanding.

Sadly this isn't the case. Not even the s7E and s7 are this smooth

Ironically as much as I loved the Note 7 the gallery scrolling wasn't as smooth as my IP7 plus or my Note 5 before that. I had a 128gig fast samsung pro sd card with thousands of pictures and videos on it but I also tried with nothing on the SD and having all the pics in the memory of the phone itself and was just as laggy. The note 5 on the other hand was very smooth in all aspects. In fact it rivaled my IP7plus, almost, not quite but almost.
