My Android charger is broken and I need help fixing it?

I

iMore Question

The part of the my USB cable that I put into my phone to charge it has a problem. There is a hole in the white material and the wire inside it is cut open, I've tried to squeeze the wires so that they make a current but it doesn't seem to work so will just adding tape to it work? If not please explain what could. To be more precise the wire that is already cut is right beneath the part that goes in your android phone. Please help me out as I am struggling to use it in my school work in my University. Thx sincerely a android user.

Hi there. If the wire is frayed there’s not a whole lot you can do with it. Luckily microUSB cables are readily available at most retail stores and they’re very cheap. Go ahead and get a new one.

The worst thing you can do is try to patch it up with tape. Your device is more worth than any DIY fixing of cables. Get a new cable and have the ease of mind that you won’t damage the phone by a faulty wire.
