Multiple Versions

I was looking around my Mobile Applications folder in Windows, and for most of my Apps that I've downloaded, it's showing many copies of the same application...for example, AIM has 7 :

AIM, AIM1, AIM 2.0.2.4, AIM2, AIM3, AIM4, AIM5

Can I clean this up by deleting some of these or are they all needed to prove i own them for free future updates ?

Just keep them this will not affect computer.
