Mobile nano sim

Hey guys, is it possible to slot in my nano sim which is in my 6 plus to ipad air 2 or mini 3 in future?

What will happen. Will ipad able to send message out since it have a phone number on nano sim.

My idea is to get mini 3 or air 2 for future proof.

No need... As long as you associate all your devices with your phone for handoff/continuity, you can send messages from iPads using your phone...

I might stop using iphone in future. With just ipad that used my former iphone nano sim.

Using ipad with main form of communication.
