MMS and Tethering

Is there anyway at all to have mms and tethering through At&t? Or do you have to wait until it is available through them?

This has done away with my visual voicemail. The tethering works now, but I do not get notifications of any kind if I have a voicemail. How can I fix this or undo the hack?
