Mistyped password delete all data. Change setting?

I

iMore Question

My iPhone setting for password is automatically set to delete all data, when the password has been mistyped 5 times in "Touch ID and Password" in "Settings". And I cannot change the setting.

This has happend several times, when my son find my phone. Data has to be restored from iCloud, but I will prefer if I could change the setting. Can anyone help?

Go to settings > Touch ID and pass codes. Scroll to the bottom and switch off "erase data"

Is this your personal phone?
Is it owned by an employer or other company?
Did someone else own it before you?
Do it have Restrictions enabled?

It is my personal phone, so there should not be any restrictions. And I got it from new. It is iPhone 7 by the way.
