So I just tried turning Reduce Motion on and I'm not able to get the options in iMessage.
My previous post said I got the options with RM On but that should have been RM OFF. With it On, I get just vanilla, no sprinkles.
After more than 15 years covering everything Apple, it’s with a heavy heart we announce that we will no longer be publishing new content on iMore and the iMore forums will be closing as of November 1st, 2024.

You need to go to settings -> general -> accessibility and then turn OFF reduce motion
With later betas they have changed it to only work that way. I much prefer reduce motion on but that means no message effects.
I have reported it and would suggest you do the same.

I am able to send screen effects, but I'm not able to receive them. I used to be able to send and receive screen effects and text bubbles with iOS 10, but now I can't receive them. When someone sends me an effect like the fireworks, it simple shows up as "(sent with fireworks). I have already tried turning my phone off and back on. I have also checked to make sure that my Reduce Motion was turned off, which it is. Any other ideas of suggestions?
I'm wondering if this is a bug or if there's some technical reason Apple can't or chooses not to implement it with RM On.
Good tip on about Reduce Motion settings. I hope they change course on this!
