Messages App, One Contact Heading The List

A friend with SE 2020 did something unknown in the Messages app, that has caused one of her contacts to occupy a dominant position, as in the screenshot. I too have that phone, but am unable to reproduce it. Does anyone know what this is?

Your friend pinned the conversation to the top of the Messages screen. Simply press and hold on the image and then select “unpin”..

My sister called me about this just last week! Personally, I love the feature, and have pinned my my 3 most used contacts.
