I already use my 2TB Cloud storage ( which of course includes iCloud Drive) for syncing many type files with several Apple devices. I desire to store a very large number (and size) of my MacBook Pro videos in my iCloud storage. I do not want these videos to sync back to the MacBook nor to any other device. I only want to keep them there as a backup (like an external drive). I will monitor and delete old backups manually as necessary. So, I would end up with a portion of my 2TB storage that syncs and a portion (a single and very large videos folder) which does not. How do I do this?

I guess another way of stating this is I desire a portion of my 2TB iCloud storage to be manual backups and a portion to serve with sync features?

Thanks!
Phil

I’m not aware of a way to do what you’re seeking to do so. Whatever you upload to iCloud will inherently sync to your other devices that are configured with the same Apple ID.
