I’m not surprised. Heck, when I’m on my Mac, whether my work-issued MBA or my personal MBP, I’m typically using a web browser. I think the only third-party apps I use on my MBA are the following:

Zoom,
OpenVPN
LastPass
Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Teams
Chrome
Slack

In regard to my personal MBP, I use

1Password
NordVPN

Pretty much everything else is via Safari.

As long as DaVinci Resolve is still available for the new silicon, I will be happy. I hear it is going to be available. As it is, Apple says that we will still be able to run Intel based apps, and some of those better than on an Intel based Mac, I won’t need a concern.
