I just bought the TomTom app because it's on sale. I want a car dock, and I'm leaning towards the magellan. However, my fear is that I buy the Magellan and it doesn't work well with the iPhone 4, or the TomTom app. The only real reason I don't want the TomTom car kit is because I would have to remove my case before each use, and that seems like it would be highly annoying.
