I am about ready to upgrade my 2010 Mac Air, so I can give it to my daughter, but before I do I am wondering what the next Air might have.

I am not that bothered for Retina, especially if it makes it heavier but I really want to see Touch ID - I hate passwords and think this would be a great addition. I don't have an iPhone 5S so I have not used it other than the in store demo but seems good.

What else do you want to see on this years Mac Air?

Personally, I like it as-is. As long as it is fast, stable, light, portable and does what I need it to do, that is all that matters to me...:)

I like it the way it is now as well. Though if it could be done without too much of a weight or battery life penalty, a retina display would be nice. And I'm really dreaming now...but I'd love to see it in black.

Requisite specs upgrade is fine. 12 hour battery and 1440x900 are already the killer specs for me. Better SSD as those get cheaper.

Would prefer user upgrades on RAM and storage but that isn't essential.

Give me a retina screen in the 11" range and better battery/performance and I'll be trading in my 2012. I'm so jealous of the battery life of the 2013s, but I'm holding off to see what 2014 brings.

More RAM and SSD storage space for base model. I don't know that I care if it's retina. I think I'm with Peter on the HDMI. What notebook doesn't have HDMI at this point?

I'm looking to buy my first Mac this Summer/Fall to replace my desktop. I haven't yet decided on whether it will be a Macbook Air or Macbook Pro yet, but the battery life and the price has me leaning towards the Air. The 2013 model haven't been ruled completely out if I can get a good deal, but it all depends on what Apple announces this year. As for the 2014 Macbook Air I'd like to see 8GB RAM in the base model, HDMI and the same awesome battery life.

Sadly I think you are right, but I am might go for the Retina rather than the Air - not sure at the moment. I would like to see the touchID on the mac as I think it will link with ApplePay

I love my MacBook Air as it is, but since I've got my iPhone, I do miss the Touch ID to log in.

It'd be great to log in on your MacBook with Touch ID, and if possible use Touch ID to log in to all websites and such as well. Perhaps through the keychain - kind of attaching your fingerprint to your entire keychain, and any password in your keychain can be replaced with your fingerprint.

I find myself not using the on/off button on the far right side of my keyboard that often, since you can just as easily turn off your computer entirely through the Apple Menu. Maybe they could add a Touch ID option there - or maybe just somewhere on the trackpad.
