Macbook 2010mid (A1342) working very very slow. How can i improve the speed?

MacBook (13-inch, Mid 2010), Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo, Memory: 2 GB 1067 MHz DDR3... more than 50% hard disk is empty, but still runs very slow..Is downgrading OS to Yosemite will help?

Have you upgraded to an SSD yet? You could also look at upgrading the memory to 4GB (or higher*).


*Apple says max is 4GB, but you can go to 16GB
