Mac mini or MacBook if using iPad Pro 12.9"

Looking to upgrade 2007 MacBook to newer unit to sync with iPad Pro 12.9" and iPhone 6plus. Considering mini when they finally upgrade from 2014? Any thoughts?

Why not a lower end iMac?I don't see them upgrading the mini anytime soon. Last two releases were OCT 2012 and OCT 2014. Of course anything is possible.

Thought about the mini since I have a magic keyboard, HDMI connect to any tv, corded mouse and can travel with the mini for a month or so and take on the road. What about mid range mini, a little more power with a sad or fusion drive.

The Mini is a nice computer. Do you want a computer that will tie you to your desk (mini) or something portable (MacBook)? Both are capable, just depends if you want the portability. and definitely get the SSD

I seem to be able to do most applications I need on the iPad Pro and wanted an updateD OS machine to be able to do some applications that would be faster at creating, I.e. keynote, music library, add super drive and store files in a 1TB drive I have, etc.
