I'm using a Verizon iPhone 5 on at&t. Works great, love it. No LTE, no big deal. HSPA+ works. My question is, will turning off my LTE radio save battery?

Not unless there are towers around you broadcasting LTE. If not LTE will not activate, meaning no reduction in power.

If you have a strong 3G signal then yes, turning off LTE could increase your battery life, however, if you're in an area with an excellent LTE signal then I'm not sure the savings would be that noticeable.

Thanks for the input. I am trying to decide if it would be worth it to try and get an at&t version, or just stick with what I have.
