Lost my music

I changed my Apple ID to use an updated email and I when I updated everything I lost all the music in my Apple Music Playlists. I had my friends send me the links back from when I shared it with them and when I try to save the playlist it already says the music is there! Plz help that's over 2000 songs and 6 hrs total of search time to make those playlists

Apple Music is not bound to the device but to the account you registered it with. To be able to retrieve all your music, you have to login with that account on your device.

For future reference, you don't have to change your  id to update your email. You just can go to your account and update it from there.
