Welcome to iMore! Nobody NEEDS a MacBook but, considering your other Apple devices, they're a very nice part of the whole Apple ecosystem. If you're in the market for a new notebook and your iPhone and iPad aren't completely meeting your needs, then a MacBook is an excellent choice. The model is your choice; all of them are more than capable.
