Dudes. My iPhone does not work using Winterboard. I am on a 3G fwiw, but I can tell you that I have had jailbroken my iPhone twice and each time winterboard has lasted just a few hours. I simply can't take the performance hit. It's that bad.

I have a 8gb 3g and I run winterboard with several themes and lockinfo and I have not had performance issues.

I too have a 3G and run winterboard with many themes and addons all at once. I have no problems what so ever.

If you really want to do it without winterboard, there is a thread here on macrumors that could help you out.

I do agree with CCT1, winterboard does hit the iPhone hard. Some people doesn't notice the lag so much but others do and it get pretty bad over time. I could not use winterboard comfortably until I got the 3GS...

Follow the instructions HERE.

You'll have to take the files and establish an ssh session with your iphone to transfer the files to necessary folders, and then use Winterboard to activate them. It's very easy to do.

hey thanks for that link...its very easy to do! I didnt use SSH,...i used the iPhone Folder program to do this and it worked flawlessly just incase anyone wants to know!
...and also i have Windows so i used CrimsonEditor as my editing source, u can get it via: Homepage of Crimson Editor - Free Text Editor, Html Editor, Programmers Editor for Windows
