I just got a macbook pro and I have Snow leopard installed right now. Should I spend the 30 dollars on lion or just wait for mountain lion? Will you HAVE to have lion to get mountain lion? If not, will you not recieve any features that lion had if you bypass it? Main thing I am missing right now on my mac is iCloud. Also if I download an app like pages, will I lose it when I do a new install of lion or mountain lion? Thanks for the help!!!

Mountain lion will be out this summer, if not this month. Be patient. If you've waited all this time, don't waste $30 getting lion when you'll be spending another $30 in a few weeks just on a OS.

If you wait and get mountain lion you will be upgrading your operating system so you will get all upgrades. The new os will have all of it.

Checked... my MackBook Pro is compatible. Probably be the last time though... by the time Mt. Lion is replaced with the next cat... it will be time for a new machine. :)

You do not. According to the keynote yesterday, you can update to Mountain Lion directly from Lion or Snow Leopard... and the cost is $19.99 in the App store for up to 5 Macs.

No loss of features or anything like that to wait. if you do the Lion upgrade now, it's $30 from the App store for the same 5 Macs... and for that $30 you get the headaches of upgrading your system twice.

At this point, just wait.
