iPhone is great but my series 7 watch….horrible battery life

Whenever this happens, I think that the general procedure to resolve is:

1. Restart the watch (power off and back on). Give it a day or two. Usually this works. If the battery problem remains;
2. Unpair the watch and pair again, restoring from backup. Sometimes there are system data stores that get corrupted that will be re-created after a re-pair. Give it a day or two. If the battery is still bad;
3. Unpair the watch and pair again, setting up as new. A bit of a pain, but not as bad as setting up a phone from scratch. It could be that you had a third party app that was acting up, and reinstalling it will fix the issue, but uninstalling and re-installing apps one by one is probably more of a pain that setting up from scratch.

I've been happy with my series 7's battery life. I'm currently a little over 20 hours since the last full charge, and my battery is at 41%. I also have "Always On Display" turned on.

Wow, really?

My Series 5 only gets 13 hours per charge (100% to 0%).

I typically put my Watch Series 5 on my wrist around 7:15 AM each morning and then I put it on the charger around 10 PM each unless I’m still out eating somewhere. Anyway, I still have about 40% charge left when I put it on the charger at night.

Unless you exercise for a LONG time while also listening to music/books on the watch (those two activities use lots of juice), you're not getting the battery life you should. You may need to try the steps doogald suggested. I do a lot of exercise while listening to books, and I get much better battery life than what you are describing.

It's multiple factors that cause it, the major being that the battery has degraded a lot. Battery health was at 78% when I last checked a couple of weeks ago. I'm not complaining about my watch getting 13 hours per charge, because that's what I expect after 2.5 years. :)

I'm just surprised.
