What is the latest OS for the verizon iPhone. I have 4.2.10. I went to verizon and they have 4.2.5. When i connect to itunes it says that there are no updates available.

I believe 4.2.10 is the latest. Not sure about what you saw @ Vz.

Yeah, it's confusing... but in this case, the trailing '0' IS significant...

4.2.10 > 4.2.1

Remember high school algebra? It doesn't apply here... :(

Strange, the verizon os has the option for personal hotspot. mine does not

I have 4.2.10 -> Personal Hotspot is located in Settings -> General -> Network -> Personal Hotspot ... it will likely show "set up personal hotspot" if you don't have the feature active on your account.

Would be nice if the CDMA & GSM OS Versions were the same ;-) ... Much less confusing.

Does anyone with Verizon find there are certain apps they can't download? When I uploaded my latest binary it said Verizon users would be unable to use it and I should reject the binary. I never have heard of that prior to this.

You can do the betas on the Verizon iPhone. Just have to be a developer.

Well how do I try them.

If you aren't a dev then nobody is going to give you specific instructions on how to install iOS 5 Beta. If you really want it (and at this point I suggest you just wait until it becomes official) then all of the answers you seek are out there on the interwebs.

It's all in 1's and 0's and you just have to reach up in to the air and pull them down and make sense of it all.
