Landscape iPhone 3GS recording.

I was watching some iPhone 3GS posted YouTube videos and they have black space on the left and right on them if I record in landscape will it post it on YouTube without black siding?

That's strange. I have filmed all of my videos at they don't appear with a widescreen aspect ratio. Am I doing something wrong? If I film with the phone in an upright position, the movies is then tall and skinny.

There is still black bars on the side because YouTube displays videos in 16x9 ratio while iPhone unfortunately records in 4x3. Unless you do some editing in iMovie there will be black bars but not nearly as much as there is when it's recorded in portrait mode.

I do have a real post though. I recorded some video in portait. Then downloaded it to I-photo as I was prompted to do. Then I dragged the video to to iTunes movies. Now when I play the movie it will only play in landsape mode leaving the black bars on the sides. How do I get it to play full screen again in portrait???
