I got my new iPhone 11 last Thursday. I just started noticing when I press the lock button there is a tiny little lag. Is that normal or is that a bug that other people are experiencing

On my 11 Pro Max it kinda fades out when I press the lock button. That's normal and looks kinda KOOL to me and I wouldn't consider that a "bug". It's been that way since iOS12 on my Max.

I don’t think it’s a bug either. Is there a way to spies up the process? Probably, but I don’t know how to do it if there is.

I just didn’t know if that if it was supposed to be that way or if it was a flaw. Lol

Apple sells millions of devices that are mass produced and the few here on iMore that complain about "bugs" is but a small percentage.
Suggestion....Don't get pre occupied into looking for "flaws" and just enjoy your device.

Chris asked a question. I didn’t read his question as complaining or looking for flaws.

I haven’t really noticed. I press the lock button and hear the “click”, so I assume it’s working correctly.

There’s a delay when you lock your iPhone X because it has to determine whether you’re going to double-press or triple-press the side button.

Double-pressing the side button activates Apple Pay and triple-pressing the side button opens your Accessibility shortcuts. By turning off Apple Pay by double-clicking the side button and your Accessibility shortcuts, we can eliminate the iPhone X delayed lock problem.

This makes sense! Thanks!
