Reading too much into 2 months of sales rumor.
This is Apple’s first try with a non pro-pro max sized iPhone. 120hz and dynamic island will be coming to it. This story isn’t written yet. Otoh Mini had several years of its story written. We know it didn’t sell up to Apple standards. (It’d be a smash hit compared to Pixel sales).

But mini could conceivably live on in the next or following SE model. or maybe Apple goes the 6 model route in the future. Se, Pro, Pro Max, IPhone, IPhone+, Mini.
