Koogeek Smart Plugs

Hi Mikah,

What is your experience with the Koogeek products? Reliability? Other?

I have purchased a number of these Koogeek plugs and they work well. However, because I have both a 2.4 Ghz & 5 Ghz network, when my iPhone switches to the 5 Ghz and my Home app updates its settings, I lose the connection and need to redefine each plug. (My solution thus far has been to check my WiFi setting and, if it is on the 5 Ghz network, I switch back before entering the Home App.

These are cost-competitive. Any other recommendations that are in the same price range?

You might consider having your iPhone "forget" your 5GHz network so it will only access your 2.4GHz network.

You could reset access to your 5GHz network, if you later change your mind.
